Riding School

The below lesson options are based on a 4 week month, makeup lessons are available but not guaranteed.

  • Option 1: One lesson per week $270 per month (Including HST)

  • Option 2Two lessons per week $540 per month (Including HST)

  • Option 3: One lesson one part board ride $425  per month(Including HST)

  • Option 4: One Lesson two part board rides $550 per month (Including HST)

  • Option 5: Two lessons one part board ride $695 per month( including HST)

  • Assessment Lesson: $80 (Including HST)

  • Individual Lesson: $75 (Including HST)

An assessment lesson is required for all new clients with riding experience.

Everyone that is in the riding school is welcome to show at the Sugarbush Schooling shows!

There will be no refunds of lessons once the month has begun. If your lesson day happens to fall on a holiday we will do our best to rearrange a new time for that week depending on availability.

There is no pay as you go option, lessons must be paid at the beginning of each month.

If the student cancels 2 lessons in a row with out a significant reason then we cannot guarantee to hold the spot for the next week. 

For those new to riding lessons, what you or your child should be wearing to the first lesson is:

  • Long pants, such as leggings 

  • Boots with a heel, rubber boots work just fine for the first bit

  • An approved riding helmet, the best kind as a first riding helmet are Tipperary or Troxel. These can be purchased at Tack Shop such Sprucewood Tackshop in Tavistock or Greenhawk Harness and Supply in Cambridge.

 

For those that have ridden before but are new to our program:

  • All tack, brushes and equipment are provided for our horses.

  • If you wish to bring your own brushes please disinfect them from your previous facility before using them on our horses.

  • If you choose to bring your own saddle pads or even saddles please have a coach that is teaching you check your equipment before putting it on to make sure it fits the horse.
